Dr. Denise Baughn is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, TX, where she serves as the Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program. Her primary work involves the clinical treatment of youth with behavioral health disorders, including substance use disorders, and the training of child psychiatry fellows. She earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed her general and child and adolescent psychiatry training at UTMB. Her professional and research interests include juvenile justice and the application of artificial intelligence in psychiatry training.
