Whether intentional or not, people sometimes make statements that are offensive and derogatory toward and/or about minority health care professionals. Those words not only disturb the person experiencing them, but also may affect those around them, including patients. Through discussion and interactive exercises, the panel speakers will raise awareness about what minority health care professionals experience and educate on cultural sensitivity.
