In late 2023, Sacramento County grew from 174 MAT patients in the jails whose community-verified prescriptions were continued to well over 640 MAT patients (and growing) with both continuation and initiation/withdrawal management aligned with the community standard of care and BJA withdrawal management guidelines. Presenters will share their current data, how and why an expanded MAT program was implemented, challenges and lessons learned, and recommendations for other jails.
