Dr. Melanie Stroda is a nurse practitioner with over 35 years of health care experience in various settings and 12 years in correctional healthcare. She is an experienced simulation specialist with over 18 years of developing and evaluating real-life training through practical exercises and supportive technology and continues to include simulation to increase engagement and audience participation in training opportunities. Dr. Stroda maintains certification as a CCHP-CP and is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator. Her passion for vulnerable populations, coupled with her experience in education has led to her growth as a mentor and Director of Clinical Education. She continues to pursue specialized education to improve the care of this population.
