207 A Study of Characteristics of Chronic Pain Poster
Description

This study measured the prevalence of chronic pain (CP) among cohorts of incarcerated individuals in 2019 (n=10,794) and 2020 (n=10,861). The results indicated that (1) females had more CP (43.2%) than males (19.6%), (2) Whites and Blacks had more CP than Asians or Hispanics (p<.001), and (3) the longer the sentence, the more prevalence of CP, with life without parole experiencing the highest level of CP (p<.001).
