This roundtable will discuss the Ventura County Sheriff's Office Therapeutic Inmate Management Unit, implemented in 2019 to manage the most difficult individuals under psychiatric care. The TIMU works collaboratively with family members and other stakeholders to establish best care practices for those who struggle with serious mental illness. Features and outcomes of the model will be presented, along with tips for identifying potential issues before they arise.
